I have designed this Kahoot game to be used with grades 2 and 3 mathematics.
|How should it be used? (e.g. individual, whole class)
This resource is better suited to the whole class. The teacher can set up the resource so the students play against each other in a competitive mode or to work together as teams.
|Which subject or learning area would it be most appropriate to use in?
This particular game I have designed is best suited to year 2 and year 3 students.
|Identify the strengths of this teaching resource
This resource allows you to add your own questions and answers, insert your own images to brighten it up and it also plays music while the game is in progress. It is very interactive and will liven up any classroom. The resource is very easy to use and is a step by step process.
|Identify any weaknesses of this teaching resource
This resource only allows the questions to appear on the teachers’ device, not on the students. So the teacher will need to set up their room to be able to use this resource. Another weakness is the competitive nature of the resource. The results of the students are placed on the teachers device for all to see which could be a bit disheartening for the students you can’t keep up with the game.
|Explain any ideas you may have for further use of this teaching resource
Because this resource is easy to use and not time-consuming, as a teacher in training, I believe this could be used at the end of each week to see where the students are up to with their learning. It is a way for teachers to monitor progress whilst the students are engaged in a fun activity.
